Discuss amongst yourselves. I’ll give you a topic:
“A Christian church-design company has proposed that building McDonald’s restaurants in churches would attract more worshippers.” –The Week, Dec. 12, 2014
I’m thinking you will attract something, I’m not sure they’ll be “worshippers.”
I really like what Willow Creek does. They have a very large food service area that opens up on Wednesday night. The idea is that families — people coming from busy work and school schedules — can have some time together (and not have to cook) before their church midweek programming. You can also spend time with other families without the stresses of “having company.”
McDonald’s? I would expect the cons to outweigh the pros on that one.
Baaaaaaaad idea. Chikena
I like a cup of coffee on my way into Sunday School. I have no problem with the church lobby coffee shop handing out or selling bagels and scones.
Trinity Baptist Church (before I was called by another church last year) had a family meal on Wednesday night. The cost was $5 a head but that’s a deal for more/better food than you will get at a fast food dive.
“True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth” without a McDonald’s to attract them.
