We mentioned back to school on Monday but that was about it. Apparently we did a whole back to school themed Happy Monday post last year that I totally forgot about. We listed several “special editions” in the #200 post last week and the timing would have been perfect to include this one.
A significant portion of our society falls into the student/teacher/parent population. Below is a special mid-week repeat of Happy Monday: Back to School Edition, originally posted August 10, 2015.
The first day of school doesn’t affect everyone equally.
Every year my mother gave me a new compass and protractor. On the day I graduated I had 12 compasses and 12 protractors, most of them still in the shrink wrap. To students, parents, teachers, administrators, bus drivers and lunch ladies everywhere: Summer can’t last forever and we can’t magically make it Friday, but here’s a little thing we call Happy Monday. Hope it helps 😉
True story – the thing about the compasses and protractors was a joke – When I was in high school they had the parking lot resurfaced. It was not school officials but the guys striping and lettering the parking lot that labeled the principal’s space PRINCIPLE in 6″ white letters. It stayed that way for months.

Hope we had something for everyone.
Now sharpen those #2 pencils and have a Happy Monday!
