Climate change, get it? So yes, that’s a single frame comic and this is not Happy Monday. But I wanted to write commentary. The first thing someone is going to say is that pennies falling from great heights, such as perhaps the top of the Empire State Building, would kill people standing on the ground. Here is just one article describing the science of falling pennies. In an airless environment pennies would reach a velocity of 200+ miles per hour. Pretty much any object would, and be lethal. But pennies fall more like sheets of paper, tumbling over and over, than like bullets which are aerodynamically designed to be stable in flight. A bowling ball might kill you because its weight gives it a higher terminal velocity even in an atmosphere. A ball point pen might be dangerous, even lethal, if it fell straight down like an arrow shot from a bow. Pennies from heaven would be safe. Since actual climate change is a political issue, I will move on without further comment.

Meet Chick-fil-A’s latest monstrosity, the pimento cheese chicken sandwich with honey and jalapeños for some reason. Restaurant menus are always changing, particularly in fast food with limited time and seasonal options so they can advertise a new thing you need to try. This, um… sandwich… is only in test markets right now. If you live in one of those markets, do the right thing and make sure this doesn’t get a larger roll out.

You got your peanut butter in my chocolate. You got your potato chips in my Reese’s cup. No word on a release date but the potato chip stuffed Reese’s Big Cup is supposed to be coming soon. The goofier the new product is the more blog post and Facebook shares it gets. Maybe I’m part of the problem.

What are those purple flowers? I learned this week that artichokes are flowers that haven’t bloomed yet. You can also eat sunflowers before they open but that hasn’t quite caught on yet.

For those of you more into apple harvest than pumpkin spice, here’s a variety guide to help you make good choices. I’ve never been to the state of Washington but around here Elijah, GA is kind of a big deal.

Had to replace the serpentine belt on my car this week. Getting it off was easy, it did that itself. All I had to do was put a new one on.

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Morris. I mentioned attending this wedding last week. Everything went off just as planned about as nearly as I’ve ever seen it.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away just night at the age of 87. It’s 2020, the general election is in a few weeks, Mitch McConnell has already said that Trump’s nomination will get a confirmation hearing in the Senate. Drama is sure to ensue. Be respectful of Ginsburg and her family. Pray for our nation.
