Tom Brady has more Super Bowl rings that each of these NFL teams. But wait, isn’t that all the NFL teams? Yes, it is. Tom Brady has seven rings. The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers each have six. All six Patriot wins came with Brady playing quarterback. He then went to Tampa Bay and won a seventh time in 2021 meaning that he single-handedly has more Super Bowl wins than any NFL franchise. So although he’s not going to the big game this year, try not to feel too bad. Overall he’s doing okay for himself.

While we are on the subject of the Super Bowl, the LA Rams will play in the NFC Championship game this weekend vs. the San Francisco 49’ers. If the Rams win they will go the Super Bowl… so to speak… which will hosted in their home venue at SoFi Stadium. Only one team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have played a Super Bowl at home and you may recall won that game just last year. Now, if the Rams don’t win this weekend then it will be a cool thing that almost happened. As a lifelong Atlanta fan, cool things that almost happened are a way of life.

Coffee with Jesus took some time off for the holidays but they have been back at it for a couple of weeks now. I replied to this comic by saying “We have the collected wisdom of all human history available in the palm of our hand. We use this technology to post funny cat pics and argue with strangers.” RFB responded by saying that even though they hit the laugh emoji it’s really more sad than funny. When I said that sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying they simply wrote “WISDOM!”

Not your grandmother’s can opener. We all know what a can opener looks like. They haven’t changed much in the past hundred years or so. Similar to drum brakes still used on the rear wheels of many cars, which were actually used on wagons before cars, some technologies work well enough that we just accept it is what it is with no further thought. Shown above is safety can opener. Visually, the first thing you will notice is the lack of a second handle. Functionally, instead of cutting a large hole in the lid of a can this opener removes the entire lid by cutting the seam all the way around. I decided we needed on of these after seeing Alec Watson of Technology Connection fame break down the pros and cons. We need to inform the masses.
