Matters of the heart – There is still some back and forth but the general consensus across multiple studies is that coffee is good for your heart. For each cup of coffee consumed in one study the participants took an additional 500 steps that day. There are studies and reports very focused on specifics, like antioxidants or sleep patterns, but a study released March of last concludes that people who drink 2 to 3 cups per day live longer than those who do not. As for the meme, my love and I drink coffee together every morning.

My dad would have liked this quote. I remember him responding to the criticism that some people are so heavenly minded they are no earthly good. He reasoned that might be possible but he had never met such a person. C.S. Lewis seems to have pushed back against the same idea. My dad’s name was Lewis but I do believe in coincidences.

If you guessed Doritos that is correct. I asked my friend Tuvia Pollack if this is what Doritos look like in Israel and he said “Yup, exactly.” דוריטוס is Hebrew for Doritos and these are made by Frito Lay in Israel. The back of the bag has nutrition and ingredient information for American as well as European markets. This product is kosher and vegan friendly. My wife does not like them, my daughter says they remind her of Sun Chips, and I have already eaten way too many.

Night Court is back in session Tuesdays at 8 on NBC. They showed two episodes the night it primered and I’m kind of on the fence. Sometimes a show takes a few episodes or even a full season to find its legs, so to speak. The pilot of Parks & Rec didn’t do it for us but we came back years later and watched all of it. Melissa Rauch shared this TV Guide cover and I first thought it was something special created just for her. No, turns out they still print hard copies of TV Guide magazine. Now it really does feel like the 80’s.

Kirby Smart stopped by Calhoun High School yesterday to check up on things. My wife was teaching on this campus and not only did not know about this she didn’t believe me at first when I told her about it. He also made visits to Model High School in Floyd County and in Cartersville but that doesn’t impress me much. Trevor Lawrence is from Cartersville but there again, if he had gone to UGA instead of Clemson that would have been something.

You never can tell. This may have been a legitimate lack of artificial understanding by the AI or someone could have created this on purpose. There’s a lot of talk about AI generated art, some claiming that real art is created by people while others see this as progress as technology is an extension of humanity’s creative ability. I dabbled in prompting AI using DALL-E mini last summer myself.

Carole Baskin did not kill her husband. Don Lewis disappeared in 1997 and was declared legally dead in 2002. He was recently discovered hiding out in Costa Rica after all this time. I really thought she wacked him and possibly fed him to the tigers. Huh, how about that?

This image is real, and so is the description. The original main trunk became infected with fungus after being damaged by cyclones and was amputated in 1925 to preserve the health of the rest of the tree. It measured over 50 ft. in diameter at the time and while there is a monument at the location very few visitors manage to get far enough in to see it these days.

Pepsi updates lemon-lime… again. Back in 80’s Pepsi had 7-Up, the un-cola, which they sold the rights to. They introduced Sierra Mist to take its place. Sierra Mist was rebranded as Mist Twist in 2016 but changed back just two years later. The formula was jiggered with each time so even with the Sierra Mist label its been hard to maintain a fan base. Now Sierra Mist is out and Starry is in. For now. I wouldn’t get too attached though.

This Satur-deja Vu post has an unusual number of food and drink items. By the way, those are authentic style Mexican tacos and not fully loaded supreme whatever you might get at a Tex-Mex or fast food drive through place. Americans have a way of overdoing things, particularly food.
