According to the Bible? Cats are not mentioned in the Bible. Which is kind of weird if you think about how much time the Hebrews spent in Egypt before the Exodus. They lived there 400 years so they not only knew about cats but the Egyptians worshiped them (as well as other animals and the Nile River). The Egyptian pyramids were the first social media; lots of cat pics and people writing on walls, communicating not in words but emojis. Dogs are mentioned in the Bible but never in a good way. The dogs came and licked the sores of Job; Jesus called the Syrophoenician woman a dog in Mark’s Gospel. No mention of cats.

That may or may not be true. I grew up in the 80’s. People were restoring ’32 Ford coupes and ’57 Chevy’s. Like my father before me I still like the look of the ’65 Chevrolet pickups. No one in the mid 80’s would have imagined anyone restoring an AMC Pacer or Chevrolet Vega. The 1975 Ford Maverick drove in high school would turn 50 this year. People preserve and restore cars now that no one would have imagined anyone caring about when they were new. That still doesn’t mean anyone will be interested in a modern Tesla in 50 years though does it?

What we don’t know is what the automotive world or the world in general will look like in 50 years. You can hardly buy a new full size pick-up today for less than a hundred grand. What if that trend continues (even though we can’t imagine how)? What if the automotive industry, or the industrialized nations of the world, collapse in such a way that there are no new cars being built or sold in 50 years? What if the market is only electric cars and each one costs $250,000 new off the lot? If you could repurpose an aftermarket battery for $20,000 and continue driving a Tesla Model S, that would be better than not having a car to drive. Of course these are just the disaster scenarios, there are other possibilities. Maybe the electric car trend comes and goes and we move on to something else; maybe gasoline vehicles will use magic fuel that produces no emissions, or we switch to hydrogen fuel cells or some technology that today we cannot image. Jay Leno has a steam powered car that he drives around for kicks and giggles. There is a chance that a few people will rebuild early 21st century electric cars just for the novelty of driving something ridiculous.

What is flabbergasted and where did it come from?

Louie Anderson was originally cast to play a character named Louie alongside Bronson Pinchot in Perfect Strangers. They filmed a pilot but just did not feel the actors had any chemistry so they continued casting. Mark Linn Baker tested well with Pinchot, he was cast and the characters name was changed from Louie to Larry.

Magic Eye – These became a big deal in the 90’s when CGI made them a lot easier to produce. This one is pretty easy to see, Goggle how to see magic eye if you need a tutorial. This is not like The Emperor’s New Clothes, I promise there is a stereoscopic image to be seen.
