Satur-deja Vu

Did you see the blood moon last night? I never doubted the forecast. And I believe Jesus is coming back. But the two are not related; there will be no warning. No one knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven nor Jesus himself. Anyone that tells you they know is a liar. Jesus will return, according to his own words, when no one expects. So don’t wait to get ready, but if you are ready then fine, stay that way.

Seen on Facebook, this is just the introduction:

I do not believe good science and Christian faith are mutually exclusive of each other nor diametrically opposed to each other. There are things I do not debate, especially with unbelievers, such as evolution and the age of the earth. I did point out, mostly for the sake of humor, the contradiction in the above statement. I got a politely worded response that concludes “an explanation of observations and facts woven together. This is why scientific theory is factual.”

Facebook no longer has Fact Checkers but users can add context to posts they feel require clarification or additional context for proper understanding. Here is the “added context” to the image above:

Satur-deja Vu is a review of things that happened throughout the week; that’s the short version. As I’m compiling this week’s post on Friday morning, The Price is Right is playing in the background. Cliff Hangers has always been one of my favorites. I don’t know if it’s a record but I just watched a woman guess the retail price of three items. She was $2 off on the first one, hit the nail on the head for the second item and only off by $3 on the last one. Cliff only walked 5 steps and she won the game. I only mention it because it just happened… well, from where I sit.

UPDATE: 5 steps is not a record. I did the research and discovered that between 1996 and 2002, four perfect games of Cliff Hanger were played. They didn’t even get to hear the yodel!

I’m not Catholic but I know that rosary beads are not meant to be taken internally. Savannah to Miami is a short flight, this would have been a small plane with very few passengers.

Free DQ cones on March 20, the first day of spring. DQ reward members can enter for a chance to win free cones for a full year but next Thursday, March 20th, anyone can get a free cone while supplies last. I think I have remembered one time in all the years they have offered this but we can do this together!

And Finally…

We are 15 chapters into Genesis in the Read the Bible series. Beginning with Genesis 14, I am using some recording and editing software instead of just my phone. My phone has served me well recording sermons for several years but those are live in front of an audience. When recording a podcast you can reword things if you stutter, eliminate interruptions, little things to polish the finished product.

See if anything about this music sounds familiar. Answer later in the comments.

  1. No one asked but I said the answer would be in the comments; the first few seconds of that music is the background to the Read the Bible intro each day. Beginning with the Genesis 20 post, there is an outro highlighting the name of the blog and my name.
