Let’s start the day with a little baseball history. In other MLB news, Game 7 tonight between the Dodgers and Blue Jays will decide the 2025 World Series.

UPDATE: They played all seven games but in the end the L.A. Dodgers took the best of seven series.

… to the dismay of middle school teachers everywhere.

This has been fixed. If you Google that question now, it explains that yes, 1995 was 30 years ago. The AI summary goes to say that “some AI summaries” were incorrectly claiming 1995 was 29 years ago or in some cases 29 and 30 years ago. Sure.

September 22nd was the first day of fall but it may not have looked like fall depending on where you live. I took this picture yesterday as fall colors are just about at their peak in northwest Georgia. Fall days often come with grey skies but we had plenty of sunshine yesterday and should have again today. Get out there and enjoy what God has made!

Reformation Day is October 31st in honor of Martin Luther. Here are some other individuals that suffered at the hands of those in authority so that every person would at least have the opportunity to read the Bible. That is not the case throughout the world where some people groups still do not have a Bible they can read in their first language. The world of translation and distribution continues and in some places that work can still cost your life.

This is a case of “I did not know she was still alive.” Lassie was filmed in black & white and took place on a rural country farm. Lost in Space was set in the future in, well, space. Very similar to Lorne Greene starring in Bonanza then later on Battlestar Galatica. It’s not just called acting, that’s range. Some actors get so typecast they are never allowed to try anything else.

Here’s your Magic Eye puzzle of the week.

You don’t have to wait until you’re ready. Find a place to serve – there are plenty that require no prior experience – and you will find out where you belong as serving makes you ready. You might begin by asking other people what your skills are. It’s a process and the starting point is not always clear. But start, the next steps will work themselves out.
