Satur-deja Vu

Do you know about the little Jesus figures? I think I first saw them back in the summer when we had a Gideon speaker. He just kept pulling them out of different pockets and lining them up on the table. Below left is one I discovered at a Marathon station in Rome, GA. Below right is a sampling of the box of 100 I ordered from Amazon. I have handed them out at church, our city council meeting and to everyone I work with. And, just like the one I picked up that goes with me everywhere, I sometimes leave one here and there for others to find. Because everybody needs a little Jesus.

This happened last week as fall weather came to bear and much of the Deep South saw freezing temps and first frost. Iguanas do not have to freeze; they are cold blooded and get stiff before the temp drops below 40 degrees. Floridians know that you can get hurt if struck by falling iguanas, which typically weigh around 10 pounds but can get up to nearly 20.

Lifeguards run over sunbather with pick-up truck. It might almost be funny if it had not really happened on Miami Beach one year ago. The surveillance video footage has just been released. The driver and passenger in the F-350 ocean rescue vehicle were both life guards and quickly rendered aid, later testifying they did not see the beach goer. As the investigation wraps up they will most likely be terminated.

Chick-fil-A is test marketing chicken and waffle sandwiches in select cities. If you are going to add bacon, might as well through a slice of cheese on there. What say ye?

At least it wasn’t Password. Which in French would be mot de passe. Good thing there are not priceless collections of art, historical artifacts and jewelry stored there.

Seen on Facebook Marketplace, local to me. Pretty sure that’s a church. Check out the huge living room…

Or sanctuary, whatever. This could be the “family room” or the “family of God room.” The possibilities are endless, perhaps. Final thought: I’ve been focusing on the description as house without paying attention to the price. That must be to rent, one would think.

Here you go college football fans. We’re getting into that part of the season where fans and analysts alike talk about playoff matchups. Meanwhile other fans and analysts complain about the system and suggest what they should do instead. Georgia plays Texas tonight at 7:30. I was worried when Texas first came to the SEC… was.
