Winter weather in winter. The image above is what we expect where I live in northwest Georgia. Some 200 million Americans will be affected from Texas and Louisiana all the way up to New York. The problem in the South will be ice and freezing rain. NYC is expected to have the longest streak of days in a row below freezing since 2018. The weather this weekend is no joke.

Little Jesus is now a little bigger. I didn’t realize the sizing of Little Jesus was a problem. I’m not linking to anything because this is not a paid ad but for those of you that have been handing out Little Jesus figures for the past year or more, you know where to get them.

This story is head-scratching good. I can’t find any update that identifies the suspect but police released the above image hoping someone would recognize his “distinctive” jacket. Yes, that says SAVAGE. After firing 17 rounds he failed to recoup his costs and now faces felony charges for discharging a firearm while committing a crime, even though that crime was stealing one dollar.

Oh look, another reboot. This is another continuation story, not a straight reboot, but those have been successful for many other series. The reboot/revival series will produce 10 episodes for Netflix. I’m looking forward to Scrubs returning in February. I can’t help but wonder if the T-Mobile ads had something to do with that one.

You can’t even get a good starting pitcher for $12 million these days. In 1975, Ted Turner bought a whole team for that price. The Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs still have national followings to this day because of Super Stations TBS and WGN respectively. Turner purchased the Braves in 1976 and the Atlanta Hawks in 1977 to provide programming for his local television station. TBS was originally broadcast over the air in the Atlanta before going national via cable and satellite in 1976. Oh for the good ‘ol days. The games were not any good most of the time but we could watch them for free.

They are no longer endangered but still listed as vulnerable on the global list of species at risk of extinction. China says the wild population is over 1,800 so that’s still not a lot when you look at the big picture.
