I sometimes make reference to things like Daylight Savings Time, the Super Bowl and the fact that for the past five or six months it never quits raining. Most of my readers are in the United States and these cultural references are obvious to them. Since I only write in English that narrows down the number of people in the world that can read it at all.
Having said that, I realize there are other readers from all over the world on a daily basis. Just like most readers are American it makes sense that Canada and United Kingdom are next in terms of numbers. In other nations around the world there are people who are multilingual, missionaries, American business people and military personnel serving abroad. There are Christians around the world as well, some in places friendly to them and others in the underground church movement. I just want to say that I know you’re out there. Continue reading
So my issues with Facebook continue unresolved but there is a twist. Back when I first signed up with Facebook, late in 2008, there was an input field for a website. Those links still appear on the sidebar, or the about section, of my profile. I tried The Master’s Table link, which is displayed, only to receive an error message about that link violating FB’s community standards. But the link to my original URL, clarkbunch.wordpress.com, still works. Why I have two blogs is a long story but the fact that I can link to one but not the other makes it that much more interesting.
Update: Issued resolved, links have been restored.
I was looking at Monday’s stats. Last night at 8 pm Happy Monday #268 had been online for 14 hours and was up to grand total of 1 view. The thing bugging me though is that several other Happy Monday posts were viewed, a total of 28 times in all. Happy Monday #101 was viewed seven times and that post is nearly four years old. That one has been viewed more times than any other Monday post for reasons I will never understand. Happy Monday #’s 50, 42 and 28 tend to pop up more than others as well.
Every now and then I post a book review (expect one during the next few days) that has a disclaimer at the bottom. That disclaimer explains that I received the book free of charge in exchange for publishing a fair and honest review. It doesn’t have to be a positive review but I choose to receive books based on title and description that I expect to enjoy or learn something from. I’m not trying to brag; I’m here to extend you the same offer. 
The Master’s Table will soon celebrate 10 years. How many websites from 25 years ago are still around today? That was 1993, there was barely in internet 25 years ago. Browsers like Netscape Navigator have come and gone since then and some early web successes, like Napster and MySpace, soared in popularity and faded away slowly. Whatever happened to AOL?
