Monday’s are tough, but it’s not that bad. Go ahead, crack a smile. When you smile, the whole world smiles with you. Or at least it will make them wonder. At any rate, we’re all in this together.

God’s Image – Part 3
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. (Colossians 1:15-20)
Jesus is the image of of the invisible God. When we could not come to God, he came to us. When we could see God, the man Jesus – in whom all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell – appeared. God’s Image – Part 2
It is worth noting when looking at the Ten Commandments that the first four are about God. The second forbids making an image of anything that is in heaven while the fourth forbids using his name in vain. God is concerned about how his name and image are used before giving commands such as not to commit murder, adultery or theft.

Happy Monday
This is Monday, and we all know what that’s like. I don’t know if a few funny pictures, comics, scriptures and quotes can help or not, but hey I’m just a blogger. This is about the best I can do.
And coffee. There’s a subtle hint there for coffee.
God’s Image – Part 1
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
Imaging a simple stick figure. With no more than a circle and a few straight lines, one can convey the image of a human form. But does the stick man above look like me? To an extent yes, but it also resembles every other one of the six plus billion people on earth. We could create a more realistic portrait with a few crayons or colored pencils. A portrait artist with oil paints could create an image approaching photo realism, and of course we could always take a picture. Wax museums are filled with likenesses of iconic figures capable of fooling the human eye.

Happy Monday
For the past few weeks the only thing I have published is Happy Monday. While I hope to get some other stuff out there this week, I will not deprive anyone of the one thing I still produce compile. So let’s kick it off. Come on people, coffee and smiles, let’s go!
