If you’re on Facebook one of two things happened this week. You either made yourself an avatar and shared it or you balked at the thousands of people that did. Maybe you even mentioned, or shared a meme to the effect, that no one’s avatar actually looked anything like the person. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally I think I nailed it. Happy Monday

Black coffee, hot tea, I had one friend that drank a cup of hot water with lemon juice in the morning. Whatever your thing is Monday don’t care. Get off on the good foot with a verse of scripture and a cute animal pic to go with that. This is Happy Monday #376. Continue reading

There are about 3.7 million high school students that either have finished or are about to finish their senior year. Some of them have been looking forward to graduation since middle school and sometimes parents and grandparents make big plans for the event as well. The fact that auditoriums and football fields will not be packed with family members and well-wishers as graduates cross the stage has not been overlooked. We see stories on the news and social media every day about graduates taking cap and gown pictures, parades of community members driving by with flashing headlights and honking horns, and one school janitor that is visiting the home, at least coming to the front door, of every graduate in person to congratulate them. Spring Pics?
2020 has been weird so far, to say the least. Some New England states had snowfall this weekend so the month of May is par for the weird course. Let’s boost morale by sharing some spring pictures. Here is one that I took a few years ago at nearby Dews Pond:

Are your garden plants in the ground, tulips up and blooming or puppies playing in the grass? Send your spring pics to Van Til (vantilspencer@outlook.com or use The Master’s Table Facebook Messenger) and we’ll share the beauty of God’s creation in an upcoming Happy Monday post.

Happy Mother’s Day. Easter was different this year and Mother’s Day is about to be as well. This is the card I will be delivering to our mothers at Unity Baptist along with a gift. We will not meet in person for worship for another few weeks, at least. The picture was taken last Sunday of the flowers around the church sign on the front lawn. They return every spring whether we are there to see them or not. Continue reading
National Day of Prayer

Today is the annual National Day of Prayer. In years past I would encourage you to find a group event and join them in person and in prayer. It should come as no surprise that this year things are different. Continue reading

April showers bring May flowers. These perennials, surrounding the church sign at Unity Baptist, return every spring. Even with no one there to enjoy them they go doing what God made them to do. Send your spring pics to vantilspencer@outlook.com and we’ll give you a shoutout and share some of those next week.

1995 World Series – Fox Sports Southeast, which I’m sure is only available regionally, has been showing the 1995 MLB World Series between the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Indians. If the option is available to you, tonight’s game 6 is the one you want to watch. Continue reading
